POLICE COURT.
(Before Messrs C. K. Lawrie and H. Wilcox, J’sP.) YESTERDAY'S SITTINGDISORDERLY CONDUCT. When charged with disorderly conduct in George Street, Tuakau, on December 4th, 1920, a Maori named Tioma, pleaded guilty, and was convicted and fined 10s, and ordered to pav 7s Court costs. NO APPEARANCE. Eor being drunk while in charge of a horse on January 24th, at Tuakau, Brown Tonga, a Maori, who did not appear, was convicted and fined 10s and ordered to pay 14s Court costs. “THAT’S MY BUSINESS.
When asked by Constable Matthew Brady, why he rocie a horse fuiious1 V along George Street, Tuakau, on January 28th, a Maori named Peter Clark replied : “That’s my business.” Defendant, who did not appear, was convicted and fined 10s and costs is. ALLEGED DISORDERLY CONDUCT. A plea of not guilty was entered by Gibson Newsome, of Onewhero, when charged with disorderly concuct in George Street, Tuakau, on January 29th. Constable Brady said that at 6.0 p.m. on January 29th, when returning from the Onewhero sports, he noticed defendant outside the Tuakau Hotel, with a large crowd around him. He was drunk and singing. He told accused to go home. Defendant said when told he went right away home. He rowed a boat over the river, so he could not have been very drunk. Convicted and ordered to pay 7s Court costs.
