A TUAKAU MENACE.

THE BLACKBERRY PEST. Quite a number of properties in Tuakau are becoming- overgrown with blackberries and besides being an offence under the Noxious Weeds Act, the blackberry infested areas are nothing less than an eyesore to the town. At Tuesday’s meeting of the Tuakau Town Board, Mr. J. B/. Sim drew the Board’s attention to the fact, and strongly urged that steps be taken to have the blackberry eradicated. On his motion it was decided toe take the necessary steps to compel owners, to rid their properties of the blackberry as soon as possible.
