POKENO.
ENJOYABLE DANCE.
A very enjoyable dance was held in Mr. P. W. Ryburn’s barn, under the auspices of the Pokeno Valley Tennis Club, on Wednesday last. Some time ago the Pokeno Hall was burned down and, pending the building of the new hall, the district has been at a disadvantage in finding a place for holding affairs of this sort. Mr. Ryhurn’s kind offer of his barn has beeJb greatly appreciated, especially by the younger people, and a large crowd assembled. The music provided by the Messrs E. Hayward and Renwick was excellent and the supper provided by the ladies was everything that could be desired. An “encore'- ’ of the dance was demanded and this will take place on Friday, February 11.
