W £ 36TH AUTUMN SHOW. ENTRIES CLOSE MONDAY, FEB. 7. The schedules for the Franklin A. and P; Society’s 36th autumn show, to be held on Friday and Saturday, February 25 and 26, have been issued, and copies may be secured free on application to the secretary, Mr. D. R. Hamilton, Pukekohe. Intending exhibitors should note that entries close on Monday, February 7, at 10 p.m. ; The schedule has been carefully revised, and sufficient inducement is offered in all sections for prospective exhibitors. The Horses. In the horse section there are 87 classes, including hunters, hacks and ring competitions. The champion hunter class should attract an excellent field. - The event carries with it stakes to the value of £45. The first horse is to receive £3O, the second £lO, third £4 and fourth £l. There are numerous other leaping competitions and ring events, besides the usual hack classes, to attract anyone owning a decent horse. There are some attractive prizes in the draught section. The Prime Minister/ Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey has donated trophies to the value of £lO for {the champion draught stallion and mare.: while the Robert Latimer Memorial Cup valued at £5 will be presented for the most points in classes 72 to 77 inclusive.

Last year the cattle sections were excellent and this year even a greater entry is expected. There are classes for all strains, sexes and ages, and apart from the usual cash prizes, a large number of special prizes have been offered.

The sheep sections last year were poor numerically, but this year it is anticipated the entries will be iwch larger. The industrial and proudee sections are always well filled and oa the forthcoming occasion, in spite of the sugar shortage, an entry eclipsing- the recoi’d is expected."
