SERVICE APPEALS
The No. 1 Armed Forces Appeal Board vesterdav heard appeals for exemotion or release from service' Mr D. C. Cameron presided. ■ In an appeal by W. J. Mclnfies. an accountant, mobilisation was deferred for on* month. a C o!la’r-maker. for whom the Hatfield Collar Company appealed, was "•ranted an extension of leave until December 31, with a condition that the reservist should ’ work a 44-hour week. ~ An adjournment sine die was granted m an appeal by Lino Products Limited for R. T. Ayers, a rail-maker, the reservist to serve in the Home Guard. In an anpeal by R. „W. Corbishley. transfer, to a local unit was recommended. An appeal by A. Thompson and- Son Ltd. for an extension of leave for C, Flowers, a tent-maker, was dismissed.
