ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
CRUSHED BY TRUCKS. Arthur William llogersoti, aged 58, single, suffered internal injuries from which he died when he was crushed against a cratae - platform by passing trucks in the Palmerston North railway yards. STRUCK BY TRAIN. Struck from behind by a miners* train near the station at 6.10 last evening, while walking along the track,, the inspector of permanent ways at-Grey-mouth, Henry Wright Buckingham, aged 55, married, suffered a compound fracture of the skull and severe laceration of the brain, and died in the Grey Hospital two hours later. Mr Buckingham was transferred from Napier three months ago. DEATH IN HOSPITAL. An inquest concerning ,the death in the Public Hospital ,of Laughton Perry (47) was opened before Mr H. J. Dixon, S.M., this morning, and, after evidence of identification had been given, adjourned sine die. Sergeant Harris represented the police.
