DARLAN AT DAKAR. LONDON'. The official Vichy Gazette announces that Brigadier-general Jacquot and General Vallat, who is the inspector of tho (Medical Corps, also First Class Colonial Governor Purisot. have been retired in application of tho law against secret societies." Parisot was formerly Governor of Senegal. Last year he became Secretary-general to the Governor-general of French Fast and West Africa. CHILD'S DEATH IN HOSPITAL. The .adjourned inquest touching the death of Ngaire Joyce Currie, aged 5, who died under an anaesthetic' at the Public Hospital on October 1. was concluded before Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M.. to-day. Medical evidence was given to show that shortly after the administration of a normal amount of anaesthetic, tho child ceased to breathe. Artificial respiration was applied without result. The Coroner said ho was satisfied that the amcstlietic had been properly administered. Lie returned a verdict that death resulted from cardiac failure due to stetus lympliaticus during the course of an operation. All due care and attention had been taken, he said.
