The following anpeals against, or for postponement of, military service on I lie grounds of public interest or undue hardship were heard ; The New Zealand Insurance Company’s appeal on behalf of K. G. Bond, clerk, was 'dismissed; A similF„ decision was, given in the case of an anpeal by National Mortgage and Agency Company. Ltd. for A ICckhold. a fisherman, with the provision that lie not be called up before May 31. Adjournments to the dales mentioned were granted in the following appeals;— W. C. Hendry, for W. K. C. Skene, baker, to March 31. reservist to serve in the Home Guard: Barniugham and Co. Ltd., for L. J. Mackle, apprentice moulder, to December 31. ■ The appeal by the Mosgie! Borough Council for It. D. Rogers, town clerk, was adjourned sine die. An' extension of leave to December 31 was granted A. H. Hewett, factory worker, for whom Stanton Bros. Ltd. appealed. The Railway Department’s appeals for .1 ‘.V. A. Jarvis, fitter, and A. J. Andrews, a casual littc t. were dismissed. Both reservists lodged objections to the appeal.
