RIFLE SHOOTING
KIWI DEFENCE CLUB The Kiwi Defence Rifle Club fired a tworange shoot at the Pelichet Bay Range on Saturday afternoon. Officers and guardsmen from C Company, Cargill Battalion, and from the Green Island Company were the club's guests for the afternoon. The shoot consisted of seven shots, with one optional sighter at 500 and 600 yards. Light was brilliant, with a strong mirage at times and a variable fishtail wind. The visitors, although unused to the longer ranges, acquitted themselves very well. The scores were as follows:—J. McShain, 32, 34—66; C. H. Simmonds, 33, 33 —66; W. Crimp, 33, 32—65; D.
