MADAGASCAR CAMPAIGN
MARCHING ON LAST STRONGHOLD (Rec. 11.35 aim.) LONDON, Oct. 12. The Allied troops in Madagascar, ad- ' vancing along the 180-milo road from Antananarivo (the capital) to Fianarantsoa, met obstacles only in road blocks. The French force remaining iu Madagascar is now at Fianarantsoa, under the command of General Alfred Guillemet. Vichy troops taken prisoner declare that they are “ sick of this children’* war.”
