LOW-LEVEL ATTACKS
FORTIFIED POSITIONS ON FRENCH COAST (British Official Wireless.) (Pec. 10 a.m.) RUGBY, Oct. 12. After tho successful United l States and R.A.F. attack on the Lille district last Friday Spitfires apd Mustangs of the Army Co-operation Command made a number of attacks on fortified positions on the French coast. There was no fighter interference —an indication that the Luftwaffe had suffered enough damage for one day from the guns of the Portresses and Liberators. The attacks were made at a very low level, but all the Allied planes returned safely.
