FRIDAY'S COMMUNITY SING

The weekly sing will be held in the Strand Theatre, commencing at noon. Admission is free, with a collection. The proceeds are again for prisoners of war weekly parcels. The Otago quota is about £6,000 short, and the committee is anxious to help raise the necessary amount. Donations may be sent to Mr J. F. Hamburg, care Charles Begg and Co. Ltd. A special attraction will be Miss Jean McLay, who will sing ‘My Ain Wee House,’ ‘ Roses,’ and ‘ Absent.’ Mr H. P. Desmoulins will be leader, with Mr Alf. Pettitt at the piano. Flowers are always acceptable for the stall.
