PORT CHALMERS HARMONICA BAND
Tho fifth annual meeting of the Port Chalmers Harmonica Band was held with Mr W. Matson in the chair. Before presenting the annual report and balance sheet all .members stood in silence as a mark of respect to the late Bandsman R. H. Clark. The Chairman also remarked on the most liberal support received from Mr and Mrs L. Johnson, Sawyers Bay. The present year has brought many difficulties which have hindered the band’s progress at present. There are 11 members serving with the forces, thus reducing membership to half. The following officers were elected President, Mr W. LeftwiSh; vice-presi-dents, Messrs W. Henderson and W. Waugh; secretary, Mr A. Erdman; bandmaster, Mr W. F. Matson, drum major, Mr G. Maher; sergeant, Mr F. Gibbs; corporal, Mr C. Smith; trustees, Messrs A. Erdman and W. Waugh; auditors, Messrs T. Skill)pck and J. McMillan; committee —Messrs T. Skilbeck, J. McMillan, W. Waugh, F.
