HITLER'S LUCK RUNNING OUT BLACK HEART SINKING INTO ERSATZ BOOTS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright (Rec. 1.10 p.m.) NEW DELHI, September 3. “ The supreme German effort has been made and has had some success, but it is beginning to falter,” said General Wave!l, broadcasting. “ The Germans, despite all their conquests, cannot find peace, and no nation is willing to surrender to their lying promises and dire threats. The measure of the German army’s growing fear is the increasingly savage execution of innocent victims. “ Hitler is becoming recognised as a tinhorn gambler, whose run of luck is passing. The shape of things to come is taking on an ever grimmer aspect for the Germans, whose hearts are sinking into their empty stomachs; soon they will sink into their ersatz boots. “ I assure you the Moscow conferences were not permeated by any feeling of depression, but inspiring in tho confidence of their peoples to fighton. I know and have admired the Russians for 30 years. Their hardihood and courage are the same as ever, and they will not give way. “ The danger to India is greater than for 150 years, but her army and air force are stronger and better equipped. Over a million Indians have joined up to support the magnificent pre-war army, which has already played a great part in the struggle. These are the true representatives of India’s nationhood. It is not politicians intent on domestic issues and quarrels, not nildisciplined schoolboys, not irresponsible mischief-makers and gangs of ignorant hooligans, but the disciplined might of her fighting men that is saving and will save India. They must be helped, not betrayed.”
