BOY KILLED

PLAYING ON RAILWAY VIADUCT (P.A.) HAMILTON, September 4 A boy of 12 years. James Lewis (Roycroft, of Alorrinsvillc, was fatally injured and two companions barely escaped in time when they were overtaken by the Rotorua express on the viaduct near Morrinsville station shortly after midday yesterday. Suffering from head injuries and a fractured leg, the hoy was placed on board the Rotorua express and on arrival at Hamilton removed to hospital by the ambulance. He succumbed to his injuries. Too absorbed in their play, the boys; failed to notice the oncoming train until';! the last moment. Two of them managed to scramble clear, but Roycroft' ’ was not so fortunate and was struck by the engine and thrown some distance, ;
