The meeting of Loyal Hand and Heart Lod»e was presided over by N.G. Bro. W. Rosevear. The attendance was representative of all city and suburban An invitation was received from Loyal Caversham to attend its first meeting in hepfember the occasion being ollicial visits from sister lodges and (lie presentation of prizes won in the various intcrlodge bowls championships The entertainment for the evening was sponsored by I cr. Sec. Bro. Geo. Davidson and Ireas. P.X.G.M, Bro. Hamol who had the pleasure (of- awarding prizes to Sister E. Goodyer and Mr Eraser and to Bros. E Longworlh and bred. McKenzie. . . Loyal Dunedin opened in mourning out of respect to the memory of the late Bro. J. TV Simpson, an elderly brother whose membership extended over 53 years P.O Bro. W. Alexander made eulogistic reference to his service, and a motion of sympathy with -the relatives was carried, all standing in silence. Due to the inability of the N.G. to attend meetings, P.P.G.M Bro. S Cameron was appointed pro tern Sickness among members was reported as being above the average. During the recess a bowls singles tournament was won by Per. Sec. Bro. A Esquilant.
