AIR TRAINING CORPS

SPORTING ACTIVITIES The Timaru Squadron accounted for the Dunedin A.T.C. second fifteen at Timaru last Saturday. The Dunedin A.T.C. forward pack was a match for its opponents, but the Timaru back line was too big and experienced for the Dunedin cadets. The score was 28-3. On September 12 the Timaru Squadron will visit Dunedin for a return match. Following are the fixtures for next Saturday : Hockey and Soccer. —The A and B hockey teams will practise at the Oval at 1.30; the Kittyhawks and Buffaloes will hold a Soccer practice at the Oval at 1.30. These practices are held for the purpose of selecting a hockey and Soccer team to compete against the Christchurch Air Training Corps at Christchurch. Rugby.—Spitfires (A.T.C.) v. Pirates, at the Oval, at 1.30; Hurricanes (A.T.C.) v. Southern at Bathgate Park, at 1.30.
