(P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 3. Holding the upper hand throughout the match, A. Albertson (Canterbury) defeated E. Simons when the New Zealand billiards championship was advanced a further stage yesterdav. This takes him to the semifinals. Albertson compiled 666. including breaks of 67, 52, 50, 48, 33, 28, and 27, compared with Simona's 322, - which included breaks of 28 and 27, The present champion, R. Carrick, added to his previous successes by boating W. J. O’Neill by 666 points to 439 The resu.t of the evening match was: Moses 666, heat Tnnes 478.
