A motion was passed at the monthly meeting of the Green Island Borough Council last night expressing regret at the death of Mr F, Wright, a former member of the council. The members of the Industrial Man Power Committee—Mr M. W. Grantham (chairman) and Messrs S. D. Macpherson and H. H. Gilland—witii the secretary (Mr W. J. Mathers), left this morning to hold a sitting in Oamaru. The committee will return to Dunediu to-morrow evening. Latest registrations at the City Hotel include Mr W. Taylor (Wellington), Mr and Mrs P. Harris, Mrs E. Robertson (Christchurch), Mr and Mrs J. Grant, Mrs J. Cocks (Timaru), Mr J. O’Malley, Mr A. Campbell (Patearoa), Mr and Mrs P. Witt. Mr J.
