BIGAMY CASE

SECOND WOMAN AWARE OF POSITION (P.A.) PALMERSTON N., Aug. 31. A charge of bigamy was admitted in the Magistrate’s Court to-day by Wallace Shiug, a labourer, aged 41, who was first married in August, 1930, before the registrar at Wanganui, and went through the form of marriage at Otaki before the registrar in February. 1941. An unusual feature of the case was the admission by the second woman that she knew that Shing was already married. There were no children of either marriage. Shing’s first wife secured a divorce in June, 1942, and has since remarried. The accused was committed for sentence.
