SHARE MARKET. New Zealand Government stocks were again in keen demand at this* morning’s call-over on the Stock Exchange, with recent rates ruling. In the banking section a buyer offered £2B 15s for New South Wales without attracting a seller. New Zealand were quoted at 39s (buyer), 40s (seller). Buyers offered 30s 6d for New Zealand Long D, and 41s 6d for National of New Zealand. In shipping, a buyer of P. and O. stock appeared, offering 31s. In meat preserving, following a reported sale at 9s 6d, New Zealand Refrigerating (cont.) had a buyer at 9s sd. with' a seller 3d away. Southland (paid) were wanted at 33s 6d, ex div. In loan and agency, National Mortgage were quoted at 37s 6d-395. There was the usual demand for local woollen mills. In the miscellaneous section Brown Ewing (pref.) were wanted at 20s, Colonial Sugar at £4B 10s, D.I.C. (pref.) at 24s Bd, Dominion Fertiliser at 18s 3d, New Zealand Paper Mills at 335, ‘ Otago Daily Times ’ at 39s 9d. Regent Theatre at 16s, and Wilsons Cement at 17s. Donaghy’s Rope were quoted at 465-48 s. 6d. Following a reported sale at 51s, G. J. Coles were still wanted at 50s 6d. There was an inquiry for Woolworths (N.Z.) at 14s 6d after a reported sale at 14s Bd. ’ REPORTED SALES. —This Morning.— G. J. Coles, 51s. New Zealand Newspapers, 32s 9d. Woolworths (N.Z.), 14s Bd.
