ORDEAL IN MID-AIR

SYDNEY, August 20,
A fantastic story of an escape from death was told bv an American air gunner, Sergeant G. 0. Hollister. He was under gunner in a heavy bomber which attacked Zeros over New Guinea. When a cannon shell blew olf the door of his turret Hollister fell out backwards. but his feet caught behind a bar connecting twin guns, leaving him hanging in mid-air.
