Y.W.C.A. BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The monthly meeting of the Y.W.C.A, Board of Directors «as hold on Wednesday, Mrs J. it. Eairbairu presiding. A motion of sympathy was passed with the relatives of the late Mrs Peter Dick, a life member of the association, members standing as a mark of respect. A motion of sympathy was also passed to Miss V. Macmillan on the death of her mother. Reference was made to the approval of several churches to the appeal for permission to admit, Y.W.C.A. workers in camps where women arc employed. The President reported on a mooting convened by the Townswomen’s Guild for the purpose "of arranging for hospitality for visiting Allied servicemen. .It was decided‘to appoint a representative from the board to the Women’s Committee for the Campaign for Christian Order. The financial statement for the month was adopted, and accounts amounting to £430 14s 4<l were passed for payment. It was decided that Mrs McAughtrio and Miss Wright attend the secretarial refresher course in Wellington in November, r fhe resignation of Miss J. Kerr, submatron of the Braemar Auxiliary,Hostel, was received with regret.
