CORONATION ANNIVERSARY [Pin United Pkess Association.] AUCKLAND, October S. Wet weather considerably marred the celebrations in connection with the seventh anniversary of the coronation of King Koroki, which were held in Huutly to-day. At the Waahi Pa, Huntly West, many guests, including a number of officers of the Maori Battalion at Hopuhopu, were entertained with hakas and other Maori dances. During the afternoon, Princess Te Puea Herangi, of Ngaruawahia, who was one of the guests, handed over to King Koroki £I,OOO, which she and other helpers had raised during tho past 12 months for Red Cross Funds. This money was later officially given, through an interpreter, to Mr A E. Gibbons, president of the Waikato Centre of tho New Zealand Red Cross Society for tho Centre’s Trust Fund. A further cheque for £SO was handed to the mayor of Huntly for the Huntly. Patriotic Committee’s funds. The money had been collected among tho Maoris at tho celebrations.
