MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS HIGH PROPORTION OF REJECTS [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, October 9. Of the 1900 men in tho Wellington and Hutt Valley area drawn in the ballot 181 have boon medically examined. One hundred and fourteen passed fit, 34 permanently unfit, and 33 temporarily unfit. Thus the proportion of rejects on medical grounds so far is approximately 37 per cent., which is somewhat higher than the proportion rejected in the examinations of the men who volunteered.
