NO HELP FOR SPORTS BODIES (Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, October 7. Though admitting the merit of the claims for financial help of some ( of the sports bodies whose membership had been affected by the calling up of men for military service, the Minister of Internal Affairs told a deputation to-day that grants to the bodies from art union funds could not be made. Tho profits from that source were still, ho said, being paid over by the Government to Dominion mayoral relief funds for the immediate relief of cases of distress not covered by the Social Security Act. . . . Tho Minister mentioned that giving by the people to the funds to help tho fighting forces had had an effect on art union profits
