ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
During recent months considerable progress has been made by the St. John Ambulance Brigade in the extension of the cadet organisation in the secondary schools. In Dunedin, this work has been under the special direction of Mr Ct. L. Ferguson, corps officer for brigade cadets, and classes have been held, examinations .conducted, and certificates issued; this has been followed by tfio formation of cadet divisions at the Otago Boys’ High School, John M'Glashan College, and King’s High School, while hoys at the Christian Brothers’ School arc now under instruction. Considerable lias also been made at the Otago Girls’ High School, where first aid instruction has boon enthusiastically taken up. A largo number of members of the St. John Ambulance have boon called up for military duty, and It is hoped that many of Hie boys from the cadet divisions will lie qualified to take up firstaid dutv, ambulance transport, and the like.
