The Otago Provincial Council bold its annual meeting in the Y.M.C.A., when a full attendance of delegates from the various tents were present, including one new delegate. District Officer Sister A. R. Gain was also present. In tho unavoidable absence of the Provincial Chief Ruler, the chair was taken by Deputy-ruler Bro. Watson. Reports wore received regarding the annual Jf.S. church parade, the intertent bowling competition, and from tho Juvenile Committee, which suggested more combined juvenile meetings, similar to the successful one of recent date, a Juvenile picnic to be held early in the new year, tho continuation of tho Martin Cup competition with Sister E. Johnson as judge. It also recommended that Bro. A. T. MTndoe be appointed provincial superintendent of juvenile tents. The annual balance sheet and report wore adopted. The results of the annual competitions wore: Indoor howls, Hope of Dunedin Tent; juvenile efficiency competition—Valley Tent 191 points, Primrose Tent 190 points, Rising Star Tent 189 points, Crystal Spring Tent 176 points; Primrose Shield for iuereased membership, Hope of Valley Tent. The election of officers resulted; —Prov. Chief Ruler, Bro. R. N. Walson; Prov. Do-pnty-ruler, Bro. P. Nixon: Prov. secretary and tx-easurcr, Sister E. K. Gain; Prov. levifce, Bro. Dunn; Prov. guardian, Bro. Shilcock; P.S.J. tents, Bro. A. T. MTndoe; P.S. female members, Sister M. Asber; Prov. editor, Bro. Watson; delegates to E.S. Council, Bros. Graves and MTndoe. The Hope of Dunedin Tent held its anniversary, when a programme of items was featured. The attendance, however, was affected to a marked degree by the absence of brothers who have enlisted in the Empire’s cause.
