CROMARTY
The town of Cromarty, which has been “ nearly washed away by a rainstorm,” was formerly the capital of a comity scattered in disjointed, fragments over the county of Ross,. displaying the finest collection of enclaves in these islands. Tho amalgamation of Boss and Cromarty, which was made in 1889, must have greatly assisted administration in somewhat mountainous country. There arc a surprising number of those strayed fragments on the British map, tho most obvious being the bisection of the county of Flint by the intrusion of Denbighshire.
