CLIPPER’S FLIGHT

A FURTHER DELAY BAD WEATHER NEAR NOUMEA [Feb United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, October 3. Owing to reports of bad weather in the vicinity of Noumea the Honolulu Clipper has been delayed a further 24 hours in her departure for San Francisco. [Delayed at Auckland since Saturday owing to engine trouble, the Honolulu Clipper was yesterday scheduled to leave for San Francisco at 8 o’clock this morning. The Clipper took off from Auckland on Saturday morning for Noumea,, but returned because of a defect in tfio inboard starboard engine. Since then a spare engine has been fitted and was successfully tested in a flight to-day. Two more passengers will travel with the Clipper above the number originally booked, making a total of 14. The"additional passengers are Mr and Mrs E. B. Sabin, of Gisborne.]
