MEN IN FIRST BALLOT

A NUMBER OF APPEALS Since the publication of the names drawn in the first ballot and published in. the ‘ Star ’ yesterday, the local branch of the Manpower Committee has been inundated with appeals. The secretary, however, wishes to point out that the form of procedure adopted by appellants is most irregular and is causing an endless amount of unnecessary work to the committee. _ Men wishing to appeal against their being called up must adopt a regular procedure. Appellants should go to any post office, where they will receive a proper form, which they will fill in and either post or hand in to the secretary, Manpower Committee, Rattray street.
