TOMORROW'S COMMUNITY SING
The sing at the Strand Theatre, commencing at noon to-morrow, will be broadcast by 4YA from noon until 1 p.m., and from then on by 4YO. The proceeds ara for the Navy Queen (Miss Jessie M’Lennan) and Air Force Queen (Miss Mary Pratt), and both queens will make their first appearance at the sing and render items. Country supporters and listeners-ta should send their donations and cheerios to Mr .1. F. Himburg, care of Begg’s, or ring 13-379. This week’s donations for sale include a baby’s Fayette (eight-piece, white), large hot water jug (silver, 12in high), goif bag (of solid leather). A splendid programme of Air Force and Navy songs and other popular items has been arranged. Mr H. P. Desmoulins will be the leader, with Mr Alf Poititt at the piano.
