AWARD FOR BRAVE RESCUE [Pee United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, September 30. The bravery of Albert Fishburn, a young man living at Pctone, who, at the risk of his life and under arduous conditions, rescued an elderly man from drowning off the Petone foreshore on April 28 last, has been recognised by the Royal Humane Society of New Zealand. The society has awarded its silver medal to Mr Fishburn, and the presentation was made at Petone by the Mayor of Wellington (Mr T. C. A. Hislop), who is vice-president of the society. The silver medal is the society’s second highest award.
