TAIERI COUNTY COUNCIL

MONTHLY MEETING Cr George Stevenson (chairman) presided at the monthly meeting of the above council. Mr William Gilmonr (Kaikorai) requested the council to repair the road leading to his property.—-Deft to the member for the riding and the inspector. Mr E. Taylor applied for access to his property at Brighton. He also complained of gorso growing on adjoining sections.—Referred to the chairman and the inspector.

Mr J. M. Stewart (Caversham) applied for improved access to his property at Brighton.—Left to the inspector. The request of the Dunedin branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society for financial assistance was received.

Following on a letter from Mr I. Graham, it was decided to repair the ford at the Christmas Creek railway lino.

The inspector and Die councillor for the riding were given power to act in tlie matter of forming a parking area on the road opposite the StrathTnieri Cemetery gate. The request of the town clerk (Dunedin) asking that the council establish a committee for the purpose of reclaiming waste materials in the district, similar to the board that had been set. up in Dunedin, was held over in the meantime.
