NATIONAL RESERVE
OPENINGS FOR GLASS 111. RESERVISTS
The strength of the local battalion of the National Military Reserve, known as the 4th Battalion, is now nearly 650 returned men. The full number required is 770, and authority has. now been given to make up the deficiency with men of Class 111. Class 111 consists of married men with two or more children who have had 'Territorial training and who are between the ages of 35 and 50. A medical board will sit next Thursday, October 3, for the examination of recruits. As this will he the only examination for the battalion for some time, those men who wish to join are advised to apply at the Drill Hall early next week. Information may be obtained at the National Reserve office at the Drill Hall during the daytime and between 7 and 9 o’clock in the .evenings.
