POLICEMAN IN DISGUISE
Bolton Cobb has entitled his new thriller, ‘ Sergeant Boss in Disguise,’ rather fittingly, for youthful Sergeant Ross, of Scotland Yard, is disguised as a Gorman seeking to gain knowledge of the workings of an English commercial house from the second chapter onward. The disguise is assumed through circumstances which suggest that by its adoption it should bo possible to solve botli a murder and the powers behind certain I 11. A. terrorist tactics. Both these things are cleared up, but not before Sergeant Ross very nearly loses liis life and goes through a number of exciting adventures. .Mr Cobb has produced an extremely good and unusual thriller, events in which close just before the outbreak of war. The publishers are Longmans, Green, our copy coming through Whitcombo and Tombs Ltd.
