TYRIE—M'CLELLAND.
The marriage _ took place 'last Saturday afternoon in St. John’s Church, Millers Fiat, of Harold Joffro, younger son of Mr and Mrs W. Tyrie,; Hobson street. St. Clair; and - Phillis Mary, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs S. M‘Clelland, Millers Flat. The church ivas artistically decorated with huge bowls of forsy/thia, flowering currant, and spring flowers. Dressed in a becoming frock of soft powder blue crcpogeorgette, witli accessories to tone, including a triple string of pearls, wearing a large summer felt hat, and carrying a bouquet of pink hyacinths and carnations, the bride presented a charming picture as she entered the church
The bride wore a gown of white satin with wedding bells appliqued around the yoke and a lover’s knot on the train. The veil, which had boon lent by a friend, was held in place by a halo of orange blossom. /The Dowers she carried were arum lilies and frecsias.
In attendance on the bride was her sister, Gwendoline, who was attired in a turquoise water-marked taffeta frock, with quilted hemline and bolero. She carried a sheaf of jonquils to match a topknot hair' spray. Dorothy iTCavanagh, niece of the bride, acted as .flower girl. Her frock matched that of the bridesmaid, and she also wore a topknot and carried a posy. The ,bridegroom was attended by Mr

Mr N. S. M‘lvor, social representative of the University, met the official party, which included the Army Queen, who wore a black velvet cloak over a scarlet gown; Mrs David Solomon, who wore a gown of coffee marocain with gold embossed belt;. Mrs Dora Smeaton (midnight blue gown and fox furs) ; Airs Merton Rnllivant, rose florals, with amethyst blue chiffon overdress; Airs 15. H. Ferguson, fuchsia and Prunella accordion-pleated chiffon and golden fur cape, Afiss Hilary Runncrstrum, hydrangea blue water-patterned moire mid short fur wrap: Messrs G. W. Bane. H. Stayton, E. H. Ferguson, and Aferton Rullivant; and Inst, hut not least, the queen carnival bulldog. Introduced by Mr Gerald Dane, the Army Queen thanked the University .students for their work in organising the hall, and expressed the hope that those present would enjoy the occasion.
