CRICKET
GASWORKS CLUB The annual meeting of the above club was held on Wednesday evening, Mr D. Urquhart being in the chair. The election of officers resulted :—President, Mr D. Urquhart; vice-presidents— Members of the Gas Committee and Messrs F. Miller, E. Wood, L. M'Kechnie, W. Kirk, W. M‘Kelvey, sen., A. Skeats, T. Holden, and D. Gilmour; club captain, Mr J. Stewart; secretary and treasurer, Mr C. Crossan ; commit-tee—-Messrs R. Bell, T. Urquhart, W. M'Combie, H. Ashton, and S. Underwood; selector, Mr C. Crossan. It was decided to open the season on October 12.
