HOW NEWS IS RELAYED Considerable surprise has been shown by the public since the present war began at the appearance in the cable news of items from Berlin, Rome, and other centres in enemy and enemyoccupied countries and attributed to correspondents of British news agencies. Naturally, British correspondents are not able to remain in enemy territory. News from such territory is sent by American correspondents residing there to their headquarters in America. From there it is relayed to news agencies in Britain,
