FAIR TO FINE CHANGEABLE ON SOUTHERN COAST The following weather forecast was issued at noon by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, covering the southern districts;— Pressure is high over New Zealand. A weak depression is located in the North Tasman Sea, and a deeper one is approaching Tasmania. Light to moderate westerly to northerly winds, freshing at times in Foveaus Strait. Weather mainly fair to fine and milder, but rather changeable on the southern coast, with scattered light showers. Seas slight or moderate. LOCAL REPORT. Maximum temperature to-day* 59.8 deg. . Maximum yesterday (24 hours), 58.9 deg. Minimum to-day, oodeg. Minimum yesterday, 43deg. Barometric pressure at 1 p.m., steady at 29.95 in (1,014 millibars). Gentle southerly breeze.
