TERRITORIAL TRAINING
AS AFFECTING UNIVERSITY STUDENTS STATEMENT BY MINISTER The following statement by the Minister of Education (Hon. H. G. R. Mason) concerning Territorial training by university students has been _ forwarded to the Registrar of the University of Otago (Mr H. Chapman) by the Registrar of the University of New Zealand, “ In the Case of those students whom the university authorities are unable to credit with a pass at the end of September, arrangements will be made with the Man Power Committee whereby on the representation of the students concerned, Territorial training will be postponed until the November examinations. But the position of university students in regard to oversea service is not a very urgent one at present, as some little time must elapse before an overseas ballot is held.” The Otago registrar adds that the question of an earlier publication of the terms results is under consideration, so that the students affected will be in a i position to avail themselves of the concession named.
