QUIET OPENING
FEW SALES REPORTED MAINLY BUYERS OPERATING Tho week opened quietly on the Dunedin Stock Exchange this morning. Only three sales were reported, and tne prices did not represent any great variation from recent levels. Mount Lyclls, at £1 Bs, were up fid on a sale reported at Auckland earlier in the month, and National Banks were up Is on earlier sales. New Zealand Refrigerating (cont.) was the other issue to change hands at 9s scl. Government loans continued in strong demand at advanced prices. A long list of industrial shares continued in demand, and only a limited number of offers came from sellers. New Zealand Drugs were on offer at £3 15s, while the Rights were still quoted at £1 6s 9d, £1 7s. Overseas mining shares were in demand, but there were no sellers. Interest in New Zealand mining shares slackened. SALES REPORTED. —This Morning.— New Zealand Refrigerating (cont.), 9s sd. National Bank, £2. Mount Lyell, £1 Bs.
