OBITUARY
MRS W. R. PERRY Mrs W. R. Perry, who passed a way last week at the ripe age of 84 years, had been a resident of Dunedin, mainly of the north end, for the past 62 years. Indeed, she, with her husband, had lived in Cumberland street for just 60 years, the couple having been married by Dr Stuart, of Knox Church, in 1880., Born at Coatbridge, Scotland, in 1856, Mrs Perry, then Miss Elizabeth Stewart, came to New Zealand in the sailing ship Nelson in 1878. Of » kindly and sympathetic nature, she was constantly helpful to those who needed assistance, and she will be kept in grateful remembrance by numbers oc her fellow citizens. In addition she will he remembered in business circles as an able assistant to her husband in years gone by. She is survived by her husband, one daughter (Mrs R. M Donald), and two sons (Mr W. J. Perry and Mr V. Perry).
