FRIDAY'S COMMUNITY SING

At the Strand Theatre at noon, the usual weekly sing will be held. Proceeds are for the Army Queen, Airini. Every effort is being made to help raise £IOO,OOO, and donations and cheerios can be sent to Mr J. E. Himburg, care of Begg’s. A special attraction will be the first appearance of Castalian Singers, under leadership of Miss Mavis Macdonald. Mr H. P. Desmoulins will be leader, with Mr Alf. Pettitt at the piano. A good programme of army and other well-known songs will be sung. For sale are a lady’s handbag, also golf bag of solid leather. Flowers are acceptable for the stall.
