WRESTLING
TO-NIGHT’S CONTEST At tbe Town Hall to-night John Katan, the “ iron man ” from Alberta, whose activities tin's season have caused
him to be recognised as one of the finest wrestlers ever seen in this country, will defend the British Empire professional heavy-weight title against Earl M'Cready, from whom he captured it earlier in the season. An Empire title bout is always an important occasion, and invariably produces wrestling of the highest standard; but M'Cready ami Katan not only represent the best that is to be found among Empire wrestlers, but also have arguments of their own to settle which add to the keenness of the battle. Whether Katan will be able to take the title back with him to* Canada remains for to-night’s bout to decide, and M'Cready will have to he at his best if he is to lower the holder’s colours.
