WOMEN'S HOCKEY

DUNEDIN BEATS BALGLUTHA A team from the Dunedin Women’s Hockey Club visited Balclutha on Saturday and played the local team, the result being a win for the visitors by 2 goals to 1. In the first spell Miss Sturgeon scored for Dunedin and Miss Shepard for Balclutha. The second spell saw the Dunedin players give a better display, and Miss D. Vernon scored the winning goal. The game on the whole was a fairly even one. Mr R._ D. Dinneen was referee. The Dunedin team was entertained by the Balclutha Club and spent an enjoyable day.
