DEATH ON LEAVE
LEADING-AIRCRAFTMAN MLAUGHLAN UJie death of Leading-aircraftman Edward Matthew M'Laughlan took place in Dunedin yesterday. He had successfully passed his examinations, and was visiting his home on .final leave,, last May when he took ill. He was 23 years of age. (Born in Timaru, he was educated at the North-east Valley Convent, and later at the Christian Brothers’ School. He also attended the Dunedin Technical College for two or three years. After leaving school he was employed by Messrs Boss and Glendining, He enlisted in the Air Force at the. outbreak of war, and in March of this year was posted to the Levin Training School, from which he went to Ohakea. Whil® in Dunedin,' Leading-aircraftman M‘Laughlan took an active interest in sports, and was a popular member of various clubs in the city.. The funeral will take place at th® Anderson’s Bay Cemetery to-morrow afternoon. The Air Force will provide military honours.
