REPRISALS URGED
“ SELECT TWELVE TOWNS "
LONDON, September 15
A suggestion that Britain should declare that unless indiscriminate German bombing ceases she will, designate 12 towns in Germany and wipe out one each night is made by Captain V. A. Cazalet. M.P., in a letter to ‘The Times.’
He says that reasons given why Britain is still confining her bombing to military objectives *and vital areas in Germany are now out of date. The Germans have decided to bomb indiscriminately with the definite object of shaking civilian morale. “ Attack against the civil population is a military weapon,” he adds. “Can we possibly afford to give Germany a monopoly of this weapon?" “ After we have designated 12 towns let each one anticipate when its turn may come. If they evacuate them all. lot us choose 12 others.”
