'LOVE OR MONEY'
‘ Love or Money,’ by Rob Eden, is not the flippant kind of book the title might seem to suggest, but a really interesting and entertaining story of the problem which faces a young girl. Life makes a sudden and grim demand on 22-year-old Brenda Fayre, who wants money badly for the cure of a crippled sister. A highly-paid job which she accepts proves to be of a questionable nature, her duty being to attract and entertain investors who are being asked to tjike up shares in a bogus gold mine. When the promoter asks her to marry him she finds herself in difficulties, and there are other complications when the police get on the track of the company. Fortunately, a young author who has sought her hand is • successful with a novel, and carries her away from all her troubles to marry her. The action of the story is brisk, and the characters are well drawn. The publishers are Messrs Robert Hale Ltd., London.
