ENDOWMENT FUND, ; On the question of the endowment fund being raised, the Chairman v pointed out that the object of this fund was an excellent one .for cricket, and that the bulk of the money so far had been subscribed by supporters of the game who were not players. It would therefore be a reflection upon the active cricketers, said Mr Brinsley, if they withdrew their support. Mr E. H Downes supported the chairman in his attitude, adding that the association itself was doing its part, having transferred a sum of £SO from the general fund to the endowment fund at its last meeting. The question ’ was not one, said the speaker, that should be dismissed lightly. After some discussion .the meeting decided to support the continuance of the fund. TROPHIES.
